Part I. Self-Divinity;
History Objective:
The intention of Part I. is to show the students examples of themselves as divine beings.
Description: This first section is a dive into the mythological and spiritual origins of burlesque with a heavy focus on BIPOC cultures and examples of queer and differently abled spirits. We will discuss different rituals and dances throughout history celebrating sexuality and self-liberation. There will be heavy focus on BIPOC culture and representation of queer and differently abled spirits across history.
Part II. Integration;
Performance Elements Objective:
The intention of Part II. is to explore different ways to incorporate elements of your craft/pagan worship into your storytelling. Description: This second section focuses on ways to integrate elements of your practice into creating your act. For non-practitioners, explore ways to practically integrate deity worship into your routines.
Class is for all levels.
Please wear comfortable clothing to move in, shoes optional.
